There is power in unity. Again I say, there is power in oneness!
Is it not written that, “if any two persons on Earth agree about anything they ask for, it shall be done for them by God in heaven”?
The year 2019 witnessed the greatest and the largest gathering of people both young and old on the issues of Climate Change.
For the first time in history, millions of people in over 100 countries across the globe marched out of their workplaces, schools, and homes in one huge mass to demand one thing— Urgent Climate Action.
We clamoured for rest for Mother Earth from excessive plastic wastes, high fossil fuels and carbon emissions, deforestation and overexploitation of natural resources.
We cried out and warned about the threats that the Global Climate Change poses to human life and the existence of all living species on the planet Earth. Just like Noah did during the time of the flood yet ignored, and the inevitable happened.
How did inevitable happened in our case…?
Through the Covid-19 lockdown.
It is not mere coincidence that the dreaded Corona virus laid a siege on the whole world. Disregarding the civilized and the uncivilized, developed countries and the third world.
Industries, institutions, schools, markets, worship places and public event centres— were all shut down. Our roads were stripped of vehicles. We were forced to stay at home and if we must go out, “wear your face masks”— that’s the new normal.
And Mother Earth got herself a break! The Earth took her rest on her own terms without any negotiation and this was done at the expense of millions of lives.
We are out here again, seeking the restoration of our depleting forest Ecosystem so as to offset the yet increasing carbon emissions in the atmosphere.
For this cause, we Urban Tree Revival Initiative team, we feel honour-bound to raise more awareness on the need to conserve our Indigenous trees in our natural forest thereby playing our part in the conservation of biodiversity of species and in the overall restoration process of the planet.
As we are gradually recovering from the nightmare of Corona virus and Covid-19 lockdown, I hope we truly learn from our mistakes and become more Environment conscious in our individual lives and endeavors.
I admonish us to beware and sin no more, lest a worst thing befall us than Covid-19. God forbid.
Thanks to all Co-Nature Lovers, NGOs, Environmentalists, mentors, government agencies and society present here and in other locations where this March is currently taking place. Thanks for your incredible support. Thanks to my wonderful Mastermind Team members at Urban Tree Revival Initiative (you guys are amazing).
Together, we will win the battle against Climate Change. Together,we can achieve a Greener and a more Sustainable Environment.
Thanks.
